Pakistan Railways has announced plans to run four special trains to facilitate travel during the upcoming Eid holidays. The decision aims to manage the expected surge in passenger numbers and provide affordable transportation options.
The special trains will operate on major routes, including Lahore to Karachi and Rawalpindi to Karachi, with additional stops at key stations. The service is scheduled to begin in the days leading up to Eid-ul-Fitr, which is expected to be celebrated in late March 2026, depending on the moon sighting.
According to official statements, the trains will offer standard and economy class accommodations. Pakistan Railways has also indicated that existing train schedules may be adjusted to accommodate the extra services, ensuring efficient operations during the busy period.
