Phil Campbell, the Welsh guitarist who played with the legendary rock band Motörhead for over three decades, has died. He was 63 years old.

His death was confirmed by his family and bandmates. A statement posted to his official social media accounts said he passed away after a short illness.

Campbell joined Motörhead in 1984 and remained a constant member alongside frontman Lemmy Kilmister until the band's dissolution following Lemmy's death in 2015.
