A gunman opened fire inside a government building in Antalya, Turkey, on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, killing two people and wounding several others. The attack occurred at the district governor's office in the MuratpaΕa district of the Mediterranean coastal city.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed the assailant was a court employee who used a pump-action rifle. He stated the attacker killed the district governor's deputy and a second civil servant. Several other people were injured in the shooting.
