The Gujarat Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested an officer of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000. The arrest was made on March 15, 2026, in Gandhinagar.

According to ACB officials, the accused officer, identified as Pankaj Kumar, was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe from a complainant. The bribe was allegedly demanded to settle a personal dispute and to provide confidential information.

The operation was conducted based on a complaint filed with the ACB. After verifying the allegations, a trap was laid, leading to the officer's arrest. The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

This incident highlights ongoing efforts by anti-corruption agencies to tackle graft within government departments. The IB has not issued an official statement regarding the arrest of its officer at this time.
