Alex Condon scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as top-seeded Florida defeated Kentucky 71-63 Friday in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The Gators never trailed and were tied only once while winning their 12th straight game.
Florida and Kentucky played 120 minutes of basketball during the 2025-26 season and the Wildcats never led in any of the three games. The teams were tied for a total of two minutes and five seconds. The Gators swept the regular season series for the first time since 2018, capped by Saturday's 84-77 win at Lexington.
Denzel Aberdeen led Kentucky with 17 points, while Mo Dioubate added 14 and Otega Oweh contributed 10. Thomas Haugh added 13 points for Florida, and Xaivian Lee had 11. Florida opened a 16-point lead with 11 minutes to play but went stone-cold over the final 10 minutes, shooting just 29% in the second half.
Florida (26-6) will play either No. 22 Vanderbilt or No. 25 Tennessee in Saturday's semifinals as they defend their tournament title. Kentucky (21-13) now awaits the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on Sunday.
