Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach is expected to be sidelined for two to four weeks with an upper-body injury, the team confirmed. The injury occurred during the third period of the Canadiens' 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Dach left the game after a hit from Anaheim Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe and did not return. Following the game, head coach Martin St. Louis described the injury as "week-to-week," but the team has since provided the more specific 2-4 week timeline after further evaluation.

The loss of Dach is a significant blow to the Canadiens' lineup. The 24-year-old center has been a key contributor this season, providing crucial secondary scoring and playmaking behind top-line center Nick Suzuki.

The team is expected to adjust its forward lines ahead of its next game. This injury continues a challenging run for Dach, who missed the entire 2023-24 season after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in the 2023-24 preseason.
