The University of Arizona men's basketball team defeated Iowa State 78-72 in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The Wildcats advanced to the tournament championship game against the winner of the other semifinal between Houston and Texas Tech.
Guard Jaden Bradley led Arizona with 18 points, while center Oumar Ballo recorded a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Caleb Love added 15 points for the Wildcats. For Iowa State, guard Keshon Gilbert scored a team-high 16 points.
"Our guys showed tremendous resilience tonight," Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd said in the post-game press conference. "Iowa State is a tough, physical team, and we had to earn every basket. I'm proud of how we executed down the stretch."
The victory improved Arizona's record to 25-7 for the season. The Wildcats secured an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by reaching the Big 12 Tournament final.
